We continue to emphasize KINDNESS! Today we went around the circle and shared with our neighbor something we liked about that person. "I think you are a fast runner." "I think you are a good artist." "I think you are a nice friend."

We did our famous shape matching game too. Today we talked about the number of sides it had, the shape and color. Great job!

COUNTING.....
Everyone had a chance to come up and count all by themselves!!!  We have come a long way. Great to see so many kids volunteering to count. Some counted to 20. Some counted backwards from 20(this is tough, but we are really trying). Nice job brave Kindergarteners who came up to count.

Special Guest....
Cayleigh brought in her Red Footed Tortoise. Her turtle's name is Shelly.

Number Corner....
It's hard to believe that October is almost over. Our calendar has shown us so much this month. We have learned numbers, patters in color and direction patterns!  We are excited to see what next month will have for a pattern!

Hulla Balloo, Hulla Balloo, this is what I say to you!

"Float like a leaf in the wind."

"Sit like a chair."

"Roll like a ball."

"Cook like Yuko."

"Teach like a teacher."

"Sneak silently back to your spot."

Book Corner....
The Witch Next Door by Norman Bridwell.  "A funny, charming story about appreciating differences is back in print! Someone new has moved into the neighborhood - and she's a witch! Her two young neighbors delight in how she does everything a bit differently from them."

Fluffy's Trick or Treat by Kate McMullin. "When Fluffy the guinea pig goes to Emma's house over Halloween weekend, he goes trick-or-treating dressed as a circus performer and does some very fancy tricks."
