THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to the Clough and Askew families for bringing in snacks. We really appreciate it!
Language Arts we worked on taking a bunch of words and make a sentence. The group worked together with all the words and formed a sentence using the skills they have learned. They knew that a capital letter starts a sentence. A period, ends a sentence. Also, the words together in a sentence needs to make sense. We also continue to practice our sight words. You may find that your child is brining home some of his/her sight word cards, that is because they have them memorized and have begun practicing new words. We hope the kids will keep practicing those words, even though they have been sent home.
In math today we cut out number cards and dot cards and matched them and glued them together! Then we took our cards and learned a new game called "Top It". Ask your child how to play Top It, (it's like the card game called war). You can play at home with a regular deck of cards with the face cards removed. When you have a tie each person keeps their own card.
FREE CHOICE.....
Max made a boat with a car. The car detaches and goes to scout things out. Then the boat can go in the water.
Grady and Ryder made a cool space shuttle base.
Some of us really enjoy a little fuel to keep us going through the rest of the day.
Thanks for those snacks!
Mock class lead by Maddie, while others are the students being taught their letters and sounds. Great to see that learning just continues even without the teacher.
Today we started a new Science unit, about the body, its function and structure and its relationship between the two. We looked at a birds wings and thought about it's function and how the structure helped its function. We also looked at a giraffes neck and its function and how the structure helped its function.
