Today during our math time we did a whole group lesson about numbers. Beth read the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Then we all got white boards and markers and made our own caterpillars with three sections, 5 sections, 10 sections and what ever number we wanted for a caterpillar. Here are a few pictures from this activity. It was great to see all the kids making caterpillars and writing numbers too.

Bugs, Bugs and more BUGS!!!
Today we spent some time exploring outside for bugs! We collected the bugs in jars and examined them with our magnifying glasses. We brought them inside and shared with everyone what we found. We found an aphid, grasshoppers, caterpillars and more!
Baden found a grasshopper right away. Ethan being a good friend and helping his friend Ashlyn down the steep hill.

All of the Scientists were successful and found bugs! Now back to the classroom to share.
