Shoe greeting. Everyone takes one shoe off and puts it in the middle. One at a time each person gets one shoe from the middle and finds its match.
Math....
Counting Review..... we had kids counting to 20. (Skyler, Nora, Taber, River)
Sunrise counting 1-10 then 10-1- (Narumi, Sailor, Ethan)
Starting to count at 13-21 (Else, Jack, Ashlyn)
Count by 10s - (Zoe)
Number recognition...Beth held up cards with a number on it, then on whiteboards kids had to draw that number of dots.
We had a whole group number, shape, color recognition game. Everyone got a pretend pencil with a number and a shape on it.
Then we read a story called More or Less? by Judy Nayer. An interactive book using language of more or less or maybe the same. Fewer. More or less animals, more letters in signs, etc. Comparing different pictures and coming up with a result.
Language Arts...
Learning about syllables. Clapping out the syllables in names and words. Noticing that there are 1, 2 or 3 syllables.
"I can "pages...We are working on personal goals. Kids have been writing about what they "can do" and draw a picture to go with it.
RECESS.....
Gaga pit games.
"It's like we are ninjas."
