Morning Meeting....
Matching shapes and colors. We all partnered with their match. Then shared our color and shape with the whole class. We had triangles, rectangles, ovals, rhombus, hexagon, etc.
Reading the chart...
Beth -"If you like ice cream you can read the green words." All - "Hi kids."
Beth - "If you like macaroni you can read the brown words." All - "Today is Tuesday."
Beth - "If you like the shape game you can read the purple words with me."
All - "Please remember to be very careful with Skyler." (Skyler hurt his arm and is in a sling.)
Chart activity, "How many letters are in your name?" (Kids came in and wrote the number of letters next to their name.)
We sang the Apples and Bananas Song (posted this song on yesterday's blog.) We recognized that this is one way we are learning words and learning to read them.
Math...
