Counting, shape matching and chart reading, oh my!!! We are so good at counting. You should hear how good we are at counting! Each day we do count the number of days that we have been in school. We have also been counting in groups of 10's. Then we count by 10's as well. We reviewed the chart, and have been noticing that a word has been missing. We are really emerging to be great readers! They are picking up on clues, sounds, etc. Our chart also asked the kids "Do you think the BIG BAD Wolf will blow your house down? They all wrote their name on the "NO" side. And many recognized that this is the first time that there were more "no's" than "yes's". We also had time to do a few rounds of shape matching. Always a big hit.
A little sharing of things.....
Ethan brought in a measuring tape that he got from his dad.
Ashlyn brought in a mini book that she read to the class.
Math....
Today we reviewed our number 10. It is tough to remember how to put the number in order. "It's not 01, it's 10." We played a new dice game with a partner. Each rolled their dice and then had to write the total of the two dice under their name. Then circle who had the bigger number.
Science.....
The BIG BAD Wolf came in to visit today! He huffed and puffed and blew his bad breath air, but didn't blow down any houses that these little engineers created. Great job Engineers! You're off to creating magnificent things in your future.
