Last ECO with Dave

Health Class with Mrs. Robinson......
How to be safe.
Who can you trust?
Tell a "trusted" adult. You can count on a trusted adult about a problem you may have. A teacher or a parent are a couple "trusted" adults who you can talk to. How many "trusted" adults do you know? At dinner tonight talk to your child about who these people are in your family.

Check first.
If an adult you don't know asks you to do something or go over and talk to s/he, you need to ask a "trusted" adult first. It's nice to help someone but you shouldn't help or talk to someone if you don't have permission.
Your at home and you want to go play out in the yard. Do you think you should check first?  "YES!"
You're outside at recess and you need to go to the bathroom. Should you check first with the teacher? "YES!!"

Take a friend
Two people are always stronger than one. Having a friend by your side can help if you were in trouble. Never go by yourself.
If you want to go outside, take a friend. It is safer.

Tell people NO.
Always tell someone no if they are doing something that is making you feel uncomfortable.  It's your body!
Saying "Stop! is ok if you are not enjoying it."

Math......
Pattern blocks.
Find a shape that has four sides exactly the same.  What shape is it?
Find a shape that has 3 sides. What shape do you have?
Find a shape that is yellow, what is it?
Find a rhombus.

A story told by Dave.

We are very intrigued by Dave's story.

The pit is warm and roasting apples well.

A snail was found! Yes, it is real, it was alive.

More apple roasting.

Our fearless fire starter! Thanks Uncle Bogie.

The snail!

Making holes in our rocks.

Helping each other out.

Success!!! A hole was made and now a necklace is created.

This is hard work and requires a lot of patience.
