Collision

In Science this week we observed what happens when objects collide, like dominos and blocks.  We continue to focus on forces like pushes and pulls and how different amounts of force are needed to move heavier/bigger objects.  We have also noticed that forces can also make an object stop!

Sharing..... Lots of great sharing this week. Thank you friends for bringing in your favorite item from home to share with the class.

Kamden shared his laniard that he got from Jump Rope For Heart.   Max shared a family photo.

Language Arts: We have been learning more about our vowels. We have been Vowel/Sound Detectives. We notice that words are similar, silly, words may have the same letters but in a different order. We even hear different sounds for vowels and that vowels have two different sounds. This song below shows a little about our vowels having different sounds. Vowels say its name and say a short sound too. Ask your child to sing this, and join in with them!

Friday's Royal Reader....... Matthew Winston. Matthew works with a student in class and we were luck to have him come to Language Arts as our Royal Reader. He read his favorite book, Ferdinand by, Munro Leaf.  A story about a bull who would rather smell the flowers than fight in bullfights.
Thank you Matthew for coming in today!

In math we are continuing practicing counting to 100.  We are also beginning to work on partners to ten.  What goes with 7 to make 10?  This is a great skill to practice at home as well.  We are doing this with objects to count so we can see the answer!
