Community Helpers

What is something you can push?
A truck, wagon, ball, chair, ladybug...these are a few things we could think of.
We have had a great week talking about Force, and the different ways we use force. We also watched on Friday, a Magic School Bus video about Force. We will continue this unit a little while longer.

On Fridays we have been lucky to have our Nurse, Deirdre come in to talk to us about health. Today she came in to talk about Community helpers. We paired up to figure out who helpers were in our community. Where would you go in the community if you needed...
1.) A Dentist
2.) A Firefighter
3.) A Veterinarian
4.) A Doctor
5.) A Teacher
6.) A Bus Driver
7.) An Ambulance Driver
8.) A Pharmacist
9.) A Policeman

When it's just too cold to be outside...we head to the Gym!

We play hoops!

And we scoot around with our friends on scooters!

In math we read a book about the teen numbers and did some counting of things in the big book.  Then we worked on a page with stickers and coloring about the number 13!  Beth had all the kids count for her today in lots of different ways like start at 13 and count to 21 or start at 61 and count to 83!  Wow!

In Language Arts we continue to learn how to say our letter sounds.  We have been singing our Apples and Bananas song. Talking about the days of the week, and we are working on word families, __ ag, __ap, __an
