1, 2, 3

Morning meeting we did a fun activity! Beth rang the bell and called out a part of our body and we had to go match that part with a friend. Then the next call we had to go to a new friend. (i.e.: elbows, we would go elbow to elbow with a friend. Or, toes, match our toes with a different friend. Back, go back to back with a different friend.) As you can see in the picture below, we had a fun time!

In math we began working on learning to write the numbers 1, 2 and 3 which is challenging. We practiced writing the numbers, writing the "missing number" and counting sets and labeling them with a number.  We used white boards and did some worksheets.

In Language Arts we began to learn about vowels. Today we started with I and U. Recognizing the letters in upper case and lower case and their sounds. We are very excited to add these letters to our reading and writing skills.

Stories we read today...
Pirate Pete's Giant Adventure by Kim Kennedy
Brown Bear Gets in Shape by Alan Durant

We also had library and P.E. classes today.
