MORNING MESSAGE
"Today is Monday. It is the first day of the week."
This was the first part of our morning meeting message. With each message there is a question for kids to answer each day. They choose the answer, and write their name in that column of the chart.
MATH
In math we built number lines from 0-10, practiced counting sets and matching it with the numeral. For example, there is a picture of 4 party hats and kids matched it with the numeral 4.

LANGUAGE ARTS
In Language Arts we are continuing to work on our letter recognition and sounds. Last week we worked on B, T and F. We will continue to review these letters and add new ones each week. This week we added M and N. Kids look at the letter, say the name of the letter, say the picture clue and say the sound the letter makes. We are building letters using different manipulatives from the program of Handwriting Without Tears Program, as well as using sponges and chalkboards to make the letters, to name a couple. Ask the kids about what they remember using to make their letters.
COMPUTER LAB!!!!!
What a hit this was! Today was our first day in the Computer Lab. Kids learned how to log on to the computer and work on the program Lexia. Check out kids folders today that explains more about Lexia. We will be going to Computer Lab every Monday.

FREE CHOICE
We also had lots of free choice time this afternoon(as we do each day), which leads to great imagination and working together with friends.
