Qu

Morning Meeting....

High Five, good morning greeting. We went around the circle and high five'd  our neighbor. We also reviewed our chart and recognized the letters that were made on the chart. Today the job was to write a lower case letter. We read the letters that were made.

Today we read The Wonderful Hay Tumble by, Kathleen McKinley Harris.

Math....
Finger flashes, we are advancing to doing more than just the 10 fingers. We are flashing so that kids have to add 10 plus 6 more. We have graduated to the teen numbers!
We also were detectives finding something that was longer than the five cubes we got to measure with.
Things we found that were longer....boot, tissue box, block, rolling pin, markers stacked together, pillow, marker bin.
Then we found an object that was shorter... marshmallow, marker cover, hot dog, fork, bag of crackers, fork, lego men, bowl, pepper.

Language Arts....
Today we finish our letters in the alphabet with the trickiest one, Qu. Examples of Qu are : quarter, question mark, quilt, queen, quail, quiver.

Outside time.....
So grateful the weather cooperated so we could have warm enough weather to go and play outside.

Free Choice....
