Friction

Nurses Appreciation Day!
We wrote a whole class note to Deirdre for being such and amazing nurse, a key person among our school friends. We all signed our note and then delivered it to her.  Thank you Deirdre for all you do!

SNACK....
Believe it or not, your child works up an appetite! We are going through what we have for snacks, and need your help. Please send in extra food for your child. Our day is an hour longer. Always at the 2 O'clock time these kids are eager for some snack. Pack extra if you can. Send in some snacks to share if you can. Also, please send in a water bottle. These guys and gals are really running lots, the weather is hotter, and they are thirstier! Thank you.

Recess....
Loving this weather and so grateful some extra time out side. Today many were "digging a hole to China!"

Science....
Friction, the new word of science today. What is Friction? Narumi "something is slower than the other one."There was a lot of force pushing the blocks. One block that didnt' have anything on it. The other block with a piece of sand paper. Smooth vs rough. The smooth block was able to move far with a little bit of force. The block with sandpaper causes friction and therefore the force to not work as well.
What if you were riding your bike and all of a sudden you had an anchor from a boat attached to your bike dragging behind you?
Jack "it would slow you down!" Taber "it might even throw you over the handlebars."
What if you kicked your soccer ball, it was rolling. But what if the ball had glue on it? All kids, "It won't roll!"

How To Book Sharing.....
Great job kids for standing in front of your peers and share your book outloud. Great art work and awesome writing.
Taber "How to grow a flower"

Sedsel "How to take care of baby pigs"

Sailor "How to feed a horse."

Ashlyn "How to be a kind friend."

Ethan "How to play a Violin."
