Eight is great!

Eight is great! Eight (8), was our special number today. We worked on creating 8 in different ways. For example, coming up with combinations like 5 and 3 is 8. Coloring in our numbers, using fingers to make 8.

Today we had our writers workshop! First we read a book, Arthur Writes A Story, which then lead to us writing our own stories. Kids are really doing a great job drawing a picture and sounding out words to create a sentence to go with their picture.  

We read the book, The Recess Queen by Alexis O'Neill. This was a great reminder about handling of conflict resolution.
