We can spell words!

We are getting so great at learning letters, that we can spell words on our own! In circle today we raised our hands and told Beth how to spell the words we knew off the top of our head. She wrote them on the board. Then we read them all.

We read Mr. Tiger Goes Wild, by Peter Brown. Then we did a fun activity today where we got to transform into an animal. Kids had a great time moving around the room turning into the animals that were called out to them.

Peacocks and Dinosaurs

Language Arts we continue to retell books with beginning, middle and end.   We read The Little Red Hen, and talked about what happened first, second and third. We have even asked kids to tell us the beginning, middle and end of their own experiences. i.e.: Fiona recalled a time she and her mom went hiking. She was able to tell us the beginning, middle and the end. We also worked on writing letters Dd and Rr.

Another story we read was, The Tiny Tiny Ghost by, Kay Williams

Today the kids went to their specials of Music and Art.
