Zipping Zapping Zooming Bats

Math was another day of counting 10.  Kids went around the room counting objects up to 10, we jumped 10 times, we walked on 10 spots and we did 10 toe touches! We also had a work sheet of counting 10 different shapes,  drawing 10 things and coloring 5 of them one color and 5 another color.

These kids are really enjoying reading. Encourage your child to read to you. They can do a picture walk with you, or read the words with you by sounding out the letters, or they can listen to you read to them and then retell the story to you after. Ask them what happened first, second and last.

Books we have been reading are about Bats! Today we read a scholastic book called Bats. It is a fact book about Bats with real photos. We also read a book called Zipping, Zapping, Zooming Bats by Ann Earle, an animated book about bats and their habitat and what they eat.

After those informative books we made our own bats!
Eli, McCartney, Earl and Fiona hard at work making bats.

Our bats!

Have a great weekend!
